Miley Cyrus sent her followers into a frenzy after sharing a snap of herself with a slightly rounded tummy on her Instagram account as she begins the celebrations for her 25<sup>th birthday.

The former Disney star left some of her 73.1m fans perplexed as the snap showed her standing in a loose grey T-shirt with her legs on show and what appeared to be a burgeoning stomach.

Cyrus was more concerned with celebrating her birthday with lots of vegan food, however, as she stood before huge silver balloons spelling out "Miley" and captioned the shot: "So close to b-day time! Stoked for a day full of Tofurkey & loved ones! Ain't it ironic? #VeganTurkeyBaby".

While many fans expressed their excitement about the snap, others speculated if she was pregnant with her first child with actor Liam Hemsworth – who she is rumoured to have already married.

One fan said: "she is pregnant?" as another put: "Pregnant?#happybirthdaymiley❤❤".

A third added: "Looking all pregnant".

Shortly after, Cyrus shared another snap of her birthday gift from Hemsworth – a rainbow necklace.

Gushing about the jewellery and her rumoured husband, Cyrus wrote: "My mannnnnn's already winnin & it ain't even my bday yet! Rainbow LiLi is soooo frigggggen cute!"

"Lili" is the singer's nickname for Hemsworth – who she first began dating in 2009 for three years before getting engaged for the first time in 2012. They lived together in LA before ending their engagement in September 2013. After a three year break, Cyrus confirmed in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2016 that they were, one again, betrothed.

The Malibu hitmaker was then inundated with happy birthday messages, with one superfan telling her: "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEAUTYYYYY!! Hope you have an amazing day surrounded by all the love you deserve with your family and of course your beautiful pets".

Cyrus set tongues wagging after she was spotted wearing matching bands with Hemsworth on their wedding ring fingers recently.

NW magazine have also claimed that the couple are longing for a baby, with an insider telling the publication that they are "putting together a nursery" in the singer's Nashville, Tennessee home.
