Overview
The Spaniard made it to the last four of the Paris Masters after he registered a victory over World No 10 Richard Gasquet in the quarter-finals. Nadal had a routine comfortable victory over the Frenchman, winning the game in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.

Nadal's semifinal opponent for Saturday's clash at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy made it to the semifinals after defeating Tomas Berdych. The fixture against the Czech ace was decided in the third set as the World No 3 won the tie in the final set after losing the opening set.
Ferrer won 4-6, 7-5, 6-3. The victory on Saturday will see them face the winners of the first semi-final clash between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, scheduled for earlier in the day.
