Overview

Liverpool will travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich as they look to get back to winning ways following the loss to Manchester United in their previous encounter. The Reds have lost two of their last three matches in the league and are currently in ninth place, 13 points behind league leaders Arsenal. Their hopes for a place in the top four at the end of the season have also diminished due to their recent losses.

Jurgen Klopp will hope that his team can address their lack of goals and take all three points against Norwich, who are also struggling at the wrong end of the table.

The Canaries, meanwhile, are also struggling for form and are coming into this game on the back of consecutive losses. They are just two points above the relegation place and will be keen to make their home matches count.

Alex Neil has a fully fit squad to choose from and it is likely that January transfer arrivals Steven Naismith, Ivo Pinto and Timm Klose will be handed their debuts against Liverpool.

What managers say

Alex Neil: "It is a team in transition at the moment, with a mixed bag of performances, and they are still trying to find their best line-up. Liverpool are more direct now than Brendan Rodgers' team and they play higher up the pitch, but both teams pose you difficult questions in different ways. We just need to make sure we are prepared for that."

Jurgen Klopp [on January transfers]: "We have to watch the market, to think about what makes sense for us now plus for the summer," the Liverpool boss said ahead of Saturday's trip to Norwich. "If we find a solution which fits for both transfer windows, winter and summer, and a player could help us as quickly as possible then of course we would try."
