Overview

World number one Novak Djokovic comes into this game following a comfortable 6-4, 6-1, 6-1 first round victory over Yen-Hsun Lu as he continues his quest for a career Grand Slam. The Serbian is favourite to claim his first French Open title, but will have to contend with Rafael Nadal, who despite not being in top form can pose a threat as he searches for his 10th Roland Garros crown. Defending champion Stan Wawrinka will also be keen to defend his crown, but will face a tougher task as the pressure will be on him unlike last year.

Steve Darcis is also coming into the second round against Djokovic following a comfortable victory over Marcel Ilhan, but faces an unlikely task to force an upset against the World No 1. The Belgian is still looking for his first win of the season of the ATP tour and owing to his record against the Serb, he is likely to continue his search.
