Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, made her debut appearance at SW19 and to the 2012 Wimbledon championships on Tuesday.

Pippa Middleton, 28, watched the women's singles contest between the hard-hitting former world number one Serena Williams of the US and Hungarian Melinda Czink, from the royal box on Centre Court, Reuters reported.

Pippa wore a navy skirt and buttoned-up navy and white macrame jacket by Irish designer Orla Kiely and arrived at the court with her brother James; both were seated in the royal box. Pippa looked sporty and chic in her Orla Kiely navy dress, accessorising herself with a white Ermanno Scervino bag and Givenchy's Obsedia sunglasses to complete her ensemble.

Popular Face at Wimbledon

Pippa has begun to be a regular, courtside, over the past year. The younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton watched the men's single quarter final, last year, between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France and Roger Federer of Switzerland on Centre Court, along with her parents Michael and Carole Middleton and ex-boyfriend, former English cricketer Alex Loudon.

Pippa also turned heads on another occasion last year, when she wore a denim jacket over a short white dress in June. This was during the game between Andy Murray of Britain and Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia, at the Queen's Club Championships in West London. In May 2011, Pippa was spotted with an unidentified man at a match between Maria Sharapova of Russia and Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland during the French Open at Roland Garros.

Pippa's 2012 style debut at Wimbledon added to her fashion statements of the last year, when she donned a Hobbs NW3 red colored dress that she teamed with a brown-colored Modalu handbag and a pair of brown colored platform shoes.

Is Pippa more Popular than Kate?

Pippa Middleton gained worldwide fame when she walked down the aisle as bridesmaid to her elder sister, Kate Middleton, thanks to a body-hugging dress designed by Sarah Burton that gave Pippa her own style statement. Although Kate Middleton has undoubtedly been an icon of fashion and beauty, her younger sister, Pippa Middleton, outdid the Duchess of Cambridge on BBC's Faces of the year 2011 - The Women list.

The British broadcaster chose Pippa Middleton as one of the faces of 2011 for the month of April, when the world's attention was glued to Britain's royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. Despite Kate being the center of attraction at the April 29 wedding at London's Westminster Abbey, Pippa was not overshadowed. She remained very much in the spotlight on the wedding day and throughout the year.

In another poll last year, by Britain's second-largest beauty and health retailer, Superdrug, Pippa was named the second beauty icon of 2011, after Kate Middleton.
