All eyes in the tech world will be on Samsung, as the South Korean company is set to launch its highly-anticipated flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, at a media event tonight at Earls Court, London.

Samsung has given very little away about the S3 - instead merely inviting journalists to come and see 'The Next Galaxy' on 3 May - but the rumour mills have been inundated with leaked images claiming to be of the mythical smartphone.

The Galaxy S3 is expected to feature a 4.8in screen with a high resolution, which could be fullHD. It will be powered by a Exynos 4 quad system-on-chip featuring a quad-core processor. It is expected to have an 8 megapxiel camera, though this may be a 12 megapxiel sensor, if some rumours are to be believed.

The phone is certain to run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) though rumours suggest the phone may be able to boot two versions, one of which will be plain Android, the other a skinned version with Samsung's own UI.

While you wait for the launch of the smartphone this evening, we take a look at some of the best - and worst - leaked images to appear over the last month while building up to the announcement, which is looking to be the biggest and most highly-anticipated product launch outside Apple in recent memory
