Shahrukh Khan not only lives life king size but he makes sure that his films and directors too carry his affluent taste.

The King Khan, as he is popularly known in the Indian movie industry, has splurged a big chunk of money to make his Happy New Year movie director and close friend Farah Khan feel special by gifting her a swanky new Mercedes SUV.

Farah Khan later tweeted a photo of her with SRK and said she was 'touched' by Shahrukh's gesture.

The actor is currently busy with his Indian Premiere League opening performance and tweeted his practice photo.

The duo has been close friends since years and has done a number of blockbuster movies together.

Earlier in 2004, Khan pampered his director buddy with a Hyundai Terracan post the success of their movie Main Hoon Na. In 2007, he gifted her with a Mercedes S350 after Om Shanti Om's success.

After the bumper success of his movie Chennai Express, SRK is planning to create the same box-office magic with his upcoming movie Happy New Year and is planning to feature a special song sequence, which is touted to be the costliest one of Bollywood, entertainment website Koimoi reported.

Shahrukh Khan's royal taste is well-known in the industry as he makes sure that each of his movie frames is lavishly presented before his audience. No doubt this time too fans will remain anxious to watch their favorite star in the song that reportedly will cost approximately £ 6 million.

Earlier in 2007, Shahrukh and Farah did a special song sequence, which features the who's who of Bollywood, for their movie Om Shanti Om and it did great marketing wonders for the film.

SRK fans hope the same fortune for SRK's upcoming movie with the beautiful Deepika Padukone.

Apart from SRK, Happy New Year also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani and Sonu Sood and is slated for a Diwali release this year
