Sony Xperia TX and Sony Xperia T Receive Android 4.0.4 Firmware Update
Sony has started rolling out the official Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) firmware update for Xperia T and Xperia TX, according to Sony Mobile. The update will gradually roll out to markets globally. Users will be notified when the upgrade is ready, while it will be made available via Over-The-Air (OTA), PC companion or Bridge for Mac.

- Screen Mirroring
Screen mirroring allows you to experience a complete Xperia T/TX interface wirelessly through Wi-Fi Miracast on your television. It lets you to view bigger pictures as you share videos, games, maps, e-mail and music.
- Extended Standby Mode
Extended standby mode will let the standby time which is up by up to four times. When the screen has been in sleep mode for few minutes, Wi-Fi and data traffic will be temporarily disabled and most applications is said to become inactive, while main functions such as calling and messaging will work as normal letting you to receive calls, notifications and messages. And, once you touch the screen in order to wake the device from standby mode all the functions will be back to normal.
- Sony's Media Applications
The update comes with new improvements that allow you to experience if sharing content more personalised and effortless. Movies app now lets you run the show from the dashboard using a small viewing window, controls and film gallery. WALKMAN app's interface now turns more dynamic, with changing colours to reflect the track's album art. Album app uses the Mobile Bravia Engine with higher contrast, depth and sharpness.
- HD Voice
The Xperia T supports HD Voice which is said to be a significant voice quality upgrade that transmits a broader spectrum of the human voice in a natural sound filtering the background noise. The update makes it easy to recognise voices, hear and understand what the person at the other end is saying, even in noisy environments.
