Overview

South Korea started the tournament with a bang, beating minnows Fiji 8-0 in their opening game and progressed to the next round at the expense of Mexico, whom they beat in their last group game to top the table. The Koreans drew 3-3 with Germany in their second game and have shown appreciable attacking quality, that will make them favourites ahead of Honduras to progress to the semi-finals.

South Korea have beaten all odds to come on top ahead of the likes of Germany and Mexico but will be foolhardy to take Honduras lightly, who came into the knockouts behind Portugal, who were by far the most dominating team in the group. They beat favourites Argentina to make their way into the next round, but will have to find another gear against an in form Korean side, who are known for their attacking prowess.
