Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is at 8pm GMT. Live coverage is on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD.

Overview

Stoke ended their winless run with a 3-2 victory over Arsenal at home earlier this month. The result against the Gunners has given Mark Hughes' men a huge boost going ahead into the festive period.

However, the immediate fixture after that saw the Potters settle for a draw against Crystal Palace away from home. Stoke have already defeated Manchester City and Arsenal and came close to registering a victory over Liverpool as well. The hosts will be hoping they could go on and defeat the league leaders on Monday.

Chelsea come into this fixture after sealing their place in the last four of the Capital One Cup with a 3-1 away win over Derby County. They are now level on points with the Premier League champions with the Blues' better goal difference helping them sit on top of the table.

However, Chelsea have a game in hand and a win on Monday against Stoke will help them maintain their three-point gap. The west London club have just lost one match so far this season and the former Real Madrid manager will be looking for nothing less than a win at the Britannia Stadium.

What Managers Say

Mark Hughes: "We are more than capable, we've got a good team, good ability, good players, creative players -- we can cause them problems. We can give them a game and I think Chelsea know that. They are not unbeatable as has been proved, so we fancy our chances against anybody. We've proved in the past we can make it difficult for teams, certainly here, so we will see where it takes us."

Jose Mourinho: "They are a good and difficult side. They have that important base that Tony Pulis gave them: physicality, set-pieces, aggressive, direct. This was the base of their success since they came to the Premier League. In the last couple of years with Mark Hughes, without losing that identity, he has brought some of his own ideas, some players that can have more than that physicality."
