Toddler Slammed to Floor by 'Monster' Wakes From Coma With No Brain Damage: 'God Saved That Boy'

In a truly astonishing turn of events, a young toddler, subjected to a horrifying act and left in a coma, has defied all odds.

This is the incredible account of his awakening, completely free of brain damage—an outcome many are calling a miracle.

A man, described as a 'monster', who was filmed throwing a toddler to the floor in a Moscow airport lounge, has admitted he intended to kill the defenceless boy.

Disturbing footage showed Vladimir Vitkov, 31, a construction worker from Belarus, lifting and hurling the 18-month-old child down at the Sheremetyevo terminal in the Russian capital.

Horrific Attack at Moscow Airport

The child had arrived in Russia just minutes before, reportedly fleeing the bombing in Iran with his mother. Eighteen-month-old Yazdan is now battling for his life with severe skull fractures and spinal injuries.

News reports indicated that Vitkov was on the same flight as the child and his mother, who were reportedly escaping from war-torn Iran, where they had been visiting relatives. They had arrived in Afghanistan after fleeing Iran.

Vitkov's Past: A Troubled History

Earlier, Vitkov had been dismissed from a nuclear power plant construction job in Egypt after failing a random drug and alcohol test. A friend revealed that he was reportedly returning home via Moscow. 'He was valued there, appointed a foreman,' the friend told Daily Storm.

'But there are constant checks; you have to blow into a pipe before work. Apparently, he drank or smoked something there - and because of that he was sent home. He was at the airport because he was returning from work in Egypt,' the friend explained.

The stranger, who Russian law enforcement indicated was under the influence of drugs, forcefully threw the boy headfirst to the ground. He then 'confessed' when a police interrogator posed the question: 'Explain what you did.'

'I attempted to murder a child.'

'Where did this happen?'

'At Sheremetyevo Airport [in Moscow].'

'What was your motive?

'My motive? I don't know - I was under the influence of drugs.'

Reports indicated that cannabis had been found in his possession, with traces of the drug also present in his blood. The Mash news outlet further reported today that before the incident, he had consumed three bottles of whisky and obtained cannabis in Cairo.

Calls for Justice

Ksenia Mishonova, the Moscow region children's ombudswoman, described him as a 'drug-addled monster.' She advocated for him to receive a sentence of 'hard labour until he is feeble with old age.'

'I am always very, very careful, but here I no longer have the strength not to say simply - [this was] a stoned drug addict, a monster,' she said after visiting the boy in hospital. 'I cannot call this person anything else. I believe that he is not sick at all.'

'In our country, drug addiction is like a disease — it is not a disease, but this is my position. He is an absolute monster, a criminal who should be judged in the most severe manner for what he did....God simply saved the boy. In any other situation, a slightly different tilt of the head, and he, of course, would not have survived.'

Recovery and Relief

By a 'miracle', the child's brain remained unharmed, she stated, adding that he had now woken from a medically-induced coma as doctors evaluated his state. The boy's distraught mother, Hajizada Sahar, had repeatedly asked her if her son would recover, she mentioned.

Per Mirror, Dr Tatyana Shapovalenko, chief doctor at the Roshal Children's Centre in Moscow, reported: 'The child was admitted with a severe craniocerebral injury. He has an open fracture of the skull bones, a fracture of the base and vault of the skull, a subdural haematoma.' She confirmed that he did not need neurosurgical treatment.

Vitkov appears in a picture alongside his wife, Olesya, and their daughter, who is approximately the same age as the boy he assaulted. His family resides in the Gomel region of Belarus.
