Berdych's quarter-final clash was against Milos Raonic and the game started in the Czech tennis star's favour. He was leading the first set 5-2 and that is when Raonic decided he could not continue further in the match.

A foot injury forced the 27-year-old Canadian tennis professional to withdraw from the game. This helped Berdych advance to the semi-final of the competition.

Monfils registered a comfortable victory over Grigor Dimitrov in the quarter-final clash on Friday (17 April). A straight set 6-1, 6-3 victory helped the Frenchman progress to the last four of the tournament.

The winner of this clash will take on either Novak Djokovic or Rafael Nadal in the final on Sunday.
