Israel and Hamas are in the seventh day of intense cross-border fighting as strenuous ceasefire efforts continue in Egypt. Both sides have presented conditions for ending the violence, with Egypt trying to strike a deal. The U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has also been in the region meeting with the, Arab League chief Nabil Elaraby, also pursuing talks with all sides. And now the question is whether they will find enough middle ground to stop the shells and rockets, which leave border residents living in life-threatening danger in every single moment and persuade Israel to stop a planned ground invasion.
