Beyonce's makeup artist has revealed exactly what he does to tame those full and highly-coveted eyebrows.

When E! News recently caught up with New York-based Sir John Barnett, he divulged the affordable hack that he uses to keep her brows looking flawless whether she is walking the red carpet or performing on stage in humid heat.

"My [favourite] beauty hack is to use Elmer's Glue Stick as the ultimate brow gel in the heat," he said. "It doesn't clog your pores and it washes off easily."

The household product retails for less than £5 ($6.4) and is considered to be non-toxic. However, because it wasn't designed for long-term application on the skin, those that want to try out the hack are advised to proceed with caution.

If you want an alternative, you can try Sharon Lee's money-saving tip. The leading Australian eyebrow artist, who has also worked on Beyonce's brows, recommends using some petroleum jelly for "hold and shine".

Earlier this year, Barnett, whose other celebrity clients include supermodel Joan Smalls, actor Viola Davis and tennis champion, Serena Williams, revealed Queen Bey's favourite makeup look.

"She loves a statement lip. She's a girl who loves lips and minimal eyes. She's not really a huge fan of eyeshadow. So whenever we do an eye look, you can tell that I convinced her to do it. I gave her a glossy lid for a video that we were doing maybe four or five years ago, and she's been obsessed ever since."

However, she was convinced to step outside her comfort zone for the 2016 Met Gala. "Riccardo Tisci, who is [was] the designer for Givenchy, sent me a picture and was like, "Hey, listen, I want it to be like this." It was this runway look of Kate Moss in the '90s at a Gucci show. The whole eye was covered in this dark colour. So Bey and I were like, "Let's make it more graphic."
