Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is mulling over a summer move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

According to the Telegraph, the Czech international will look for a move away from Stamford Bridge after struggling to get any game time as Thibaut Courtois is being preferred over him by manager Jose Mourinho.

The report claims that Chelsea will not stand in their goalkeeper's way when it comes to choosing his next destination, as he has been a loyal player for the Blues for the past 11 seasons. Apart from Arsenal, Premier League rivals Liverpool have also been credited with interest for the stopper.

He has been the undisputed number one choice since he joined Chelsea from Rennes in 2004 and has won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League and the Champions League during his time at the club.

Wenger is a big admirer of the goalkeeper and even tried to sign him, before he joined Chelsea and will consider signing him during the summer as he is still not fully satisfied with the current goal keeping situation at Arsenal.

The Gunners signed Colombian international David Ospina in the summer, but he has struggled with injuries and made just two appearances for the club so far.

It is believed that the French manager will take stock of his goal keeping options at the end of the season, and could sanction a move for the Czech stopper, who is still considered one of the best between the sticks.

Moreover, recent reports suggest that Wenger is furious with his number one following some poor performances in recent games and Szczesny did not help his cause when he was caught smoking in the dressing room following Arsenal's loss to Southampton on New Year's Day.

Serie A club AS Roma have also been linked with a move for the Blues player during the ongoing January transfer window, but Mourinho has rubbished those reports and categorically stated that Cech will remain with the Stamford Bridge outfit until the summer.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper's agent Viktor Kolar had hinted that Cech will entertain bids from either Arsenal or Liverpool, but will only leave the club at the end of the season.

The above statement will be encouragement enough for all interested clubs to put in a bid for Cech, who is contracted to Chelsea till 2016 and is reportedly available for a fee of around £5m.
