Arsenal midfield target Arturo Vidal's agent has denied that his client has had any contact with the north London club regarding a summer move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Juventus midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal during the summer transfer window, with a Calcio Mercato report suggesting that a deal with the midfielder had been agreed.

Vidal, who is currently with Chile at the ongoing Copa America, is currently preparing to take on Argentina in the final of the tournament. According to the Independent, Gunners star Alexis Sanchez, is reportedly trying to convince his compatriot to make the switch from Turin to London.

Talks of a summer move to the Premier League surfaced ahead of the Gunners' FA Cup final against Aston Villa, but Wenger immediately quashed it, while admitting that he did like the Chilean international.

"If you want me to say I like Arturo Vidal, yes I like Arturo Vidal. Are we in a transfer mode? I say, no," Wenger said, as quoted by Goal.

However, Fernando Felicevich, who is the Juventus star's agent, has confirmed that there has been no contact with the 12-times FA Cup champions regarding a potential move. Vidal has been in the news during the tournament, after the midfielder was arrested and formally charged with a drunk driving offense.

"I've not had any contact with Arsenal," Felicevich, who is also Sanchez's agent, said, as quoted by Goal.

Manchester United have been long-term admirers of Vidal, and were heavily linked with a move last summer. But, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport, the Red Devils remain interested in the former Bayer Leverkusen star, as Louis van Gaal has made it a priority to strengthen his midfield this summer.
