A$AP Rocky jokes his kids will be stunned by Rihanna’s fame as he recalls Riot joining him onstage ASAP Rocky/Facebook

A$AP Rocky has said his three-year-old son Riot 'stole' a key moment on his world tour, as he joked that none of his children yet understands just how famous their mother, Rihanna, is, after the toddler joined him on stage in Copenhagen.

The 38-year-old rapper made the comments in an interview with Rolling Stone, published on Friday 16 October, in which he looked back on the family appearance at the Royal Arena on 18 September during his Don't Be Dumb tour.

'It's my time to do my arenas, eight-year hiatus. I'm back,' he said. 'This is their first time seeing their dad on stages. But I'm like, wait till they get a load of mum, wait till they even realise who their mother is.'

Family Joins A$AP Rocky on Tour Stop

The Copenhagen date formed part of Rocky's Don't Be Dumb tour, his first run of arena shows after what he described as an eight-year break from that scale of performance.

Fan footage shared on social media appeared to show Rihanna walking on stage with Riot and handing him to his father during the set. Holding his son in one arm and a loudspeaker in the other, Rocky paused the show to dedicate a song to 'my son and my family,' prompting cheers from the crowd.

The rapper is understood to have encouraged the toddler to rap along. In the footage, Riot appears to look up at the arena lights while Rihanna stands just off to the side, smiling and singing.

The couple have three children together, sons RZA, four, and Riot, three, and one-year-old daughter Rocki.

'He's the Extrovert' in the Family

Rocky said he was pleased with how his son handled the occasion, describing him as 'little Spider-Man' and 'very ready for all of these things.'

'He's the extrovert out of all of his siblings,' he said. 'And I think he has the strongest personality.'

He added that Riot was already asking questions about his father's career and the work of those around him. 'He's just very curious. He's asking me if I sing. He's asking A$AP Twelvyy if he do music, too,' he said, referring to his fellow A$AP Mob member.

Reflecting on the Copenhagen appearance, Rocky said: 'It was really cool to have him up there.'

Rihanna on Family Life and Longstanding Partnership

Rocky and Rihanna have spoken in recent months about life as parents. In a summer cover story for Vibe, Rocky said the couple had laughed and joked together during Rihanna's labour, calling the experience 'so exciting.'

Rihanna has also spoken about watching the children grow. She told Extra, 'The babies are amazing. They're all getting bigger, and I cannot take it.'

The pair's professional ties predate their relationship. Rocky opened the North American leg of Rihanna's Diamonds world tour in 2013, and she appeared in the video for his single Fashion Killa the same year.

Rocky and Rihanna have not said whether their children will follow them into music. For now, the rapper's tour continues, and Riot's Copenhagen appearance has become one of its most widely shared moments.
