Carti served as an artistic director for ComplexCon alongside Hiroshi Fujiwara. He was scheduled to headline the Sunday programme alongside Destroy Lonely and F1lthy.

The two rappers have previously collaborated on tracks including 'Go2DaMoon', 'Off the Grid' and 'Junya'.

There had been no official announcement before the performance confirming that West would join Carti onstage. However, West ultimately joined Carti during his headlining set and performed several tracks, including 'Off the Grid'.

ComplexCon's 10th anniversary event took place in Los Angeles on 3 and 4 October, with activities at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena.
