Cardi B's latest trip to the Dominican Republic got fans talking after she posted a video of her cleaning her grandparents' house. Fans of her music were quick to reference one of her iconic lines as she helped her family tidy up their home.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's hit song, 'WAP', instantly became a cultural phenomenon, inspiring memes and online debates since its release in 2020.

As Cardi B's fame reaches new heights, her latest post reveals she will be there for her family no matter what the haters say.

Cardi B's Cleaning Video Had Fans Joking About 'WAP' Lyric

The 'Bodak Yellow' singer featured in a viral video of her helping her family clean their house in Castañuelas, a community in the Montecristi province of the Dominican Republic. The video came during her 34th birthday visit, where she celebrated with her relatives.

The video showed the rapper actively contributing to the clean-up, scrubbing floors and washing down parts of the home, all while wearing a singlet, shorts and flip-flops.

The internet immediately directed its attention to one of her lyrics in relation to the video. In 'WAP', the singer raps that she 'don't cook, don't clean', a contradiction that led fans to playfully tease her.

'She lied to us on this song...crying emoji x3,' posted one fan. Another quipped, 'Thought Cardi said she doesn't cook, she doesn't clean? Girl, you've been lying to me all this time?'

'I don't cook, I don't clean was just music after all; look at my baby brooming,' another joked.

There was also a lot of positivity around the video. One comment observed, 'She is one of the few I've seen never let money come in between her and her family.' Another said, 'Humility is a beautiful trait. Don't ever forget where you came from!'

Some even gave her heaps of praise. 'You will never know this woman is a millionaire. She always has been so regular, humble, and normal. She is good to her family and fans. We love you, Cardi.'

Cardi B Never Forgot About Her Family Even When She Became Famous

The video was uploaded by Cardi's father, Carlos Almánzar, a Dominican and former cab driver. Along with her mother, Clara Almánzar, he played an instrumental role in the music artist's life.

They divorced when Cardi B was 13, and they share Cardi and Hennessy Carolina.

People reported that the musician described her mother as strict and protective, especially during her early career as a stripper. Despite that, she remained grateful to her parents for their support, especially with raising her own kids. Her father also influenced her preference for Dominican food, and her mother shaped her musical taste.

Cardi B is not only thinking of the people who brought her here, but also of the children she's raising. She revealed she panicked at the thought of her children being left with only her music royalties.

'I leave this earth, and my kids are going to have just music royalties, and they're mostly going to have to be arguing with people about it,' she explained.

The notion drove the artist to consider what she would leave behind for her children. She said they would have a couple of properties and liquid money, but she wanted to build something more for them.

Cardi B Claps Back at the Haters, Saying She 'Didn't Apply' for Fame

Beyond her family life, the rapper recently opened up about the downsides of fame, lamenting that sometimes she feels that she 'didn't apply for this'.

While discussing her single 'Ah Ha', Cardi addressed the naysayers who want to see her down, revealing the song was dedicated to them.

'This is for everyone who thinks I'm worried about them. I don't care about you,' she said, according to The Blast.

She continued, 'There's a lot of jealousy around me all the time. All the time! It comes from these girls who think I want their baby daddy or that they are equal to me. Also from these guys...From everybody!'

As Cardi B moves up in the world, she has made it clear that her priorities are her family, not the people wishing to pull her down.
