Kim Kardashian has revealed that she and ex-husband Kanye West have 'better communication' when it comes to daughter North West's music, saying they are 'aligned' on projects they both approve.

The reality star made the comments while explaining why she sometimes holds her eldest daughter back from opportunities, despite North's growing ambitions in entertainment. Kardashian said the 13-year-old embraces the spotlight more than her younger siblings and wants to pursue 'forward-facing projects', while she remains concerned about exposing her children to fame.

Kim and Kanye Are 'Aligned' Over North's Music

Kardashian told The Sunday Times Style that she and West have 'better communication' when it comes to North's music-related projects.

'And with her, since it's more music-related, that is something that her dad and I have better communication about,' Kardashian said. 'We make sure that we're aligned and that she's in projects that we both approve.'

Kardashian's comments suggest the pair are taking a selective approach to the opportunities North is offered rather than allowing her to take on every project. She made the remarks while discussing the challenges of raising children in the public eye, rather than suggesting she and West agree on every aspect of parenting.

Kim Says She Has To 'Hold Back' North

Kardashian said North embraces the spotlight more than her younger siblings and is eager to pursue public-facing work. 'North loves it a little bit more than the rest,' she said. 'I hold her back. All she wants to do is forward-facing projects.'

She added that she wants to 'savour those moments' rather than allow North to take on every opportunity offered to her. Kardashian also acknowledged the concerns that come with exposing her children to fame, saying: 'I do worry about it.'

North West's Growing Music Career

North has already begun building a music career, releasing her six-track debut EP, N0rth4evr, in May. The project mixes rage rap, rock, emo and hyperpop influences. Tracks include 'H0w Sh0uld ! f33l' and 'D!e'.

North has also made clear that she wants to pursue music now rather than wait until she is older. In a recent Dazed interview, she said: 'This is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.'

She has also performed live, including her first headline concert at Chicago's The Vic Theatre in September, while appearing on other music projects.

The 13-year-old has made it clear she wants to pursue music, starting with her debut EP, live performances, and other creative projects.

Kim's Approach to North's Fame

North's growing career comes as Kardashian tries to balance supporting her ambitions with limiting her exposure to fame.

Kardashian said her children have different relationships with fame. Her younger children sometimes accompany her while she films but generally do not have their own storylines, adding, 'Each kid does what they're comfortable with,' while North has actively pursued opportunities in music and entertainment.

North's Dazed cover and debut EP have further expanded her public profile.

For Kardashian, however, the focus appears to remain on controlling which opportunities North takes on. Her comments also indicate that Kardashian and West are finding common ground when it comes to approving music-related projects for their daughter.
