Overview

Barbados Tridents come into their third game of the tournament after six days of rest. They are currently placed fourth on the points table, having one just a game. The Tridents outfit will be confident as they registered their first win against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on 5 July, even as their key players failed to fire. Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik scored 54 off 46 balls, while superstar batsman AB De Villiers picked up the player of the match award for smashing 63 off 33 balls in a knock that included three hits over the fence.

With no injury worries at present, the Tridents will most likely play the same XI as the last game.

Their opponents Jamaica Tallawahs suffered a blip in their last game losing to Guyana Amazon Warriors by seven wickets on 7 July. Despite this loss they sit on second place on the league table with four points from three games played.

Skipper Chris Gayle , has led from the front scoring 159 runs so far including a 108 not out knock against the Trinbago Knight Riders. Gayle aside, the rest of the batsman have failed to deliver and will need to find some form immediately if Jamaica are to progress further in the tournament. Kumar Sangakkara, Shakib Al Hasan and Andre Russell will be key for the Tallawahs as the tournament progresses.
