Overview

Barbados Tridents, currently placed fourth in the points table with three points from three games, come into this clash on the back of a washout against Jamaica Tallawahs on 11 July. Only 10 overs were possible on the night, which disappointed the crowds who came to see a face-off between two of the biggest superstars in cricket in AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle.

The Tridents were perhaps lucky that it rained when it did as the Tallawahs had raced to 116 in their 10 overs with Gayle going berserk at one end. The Barbados bowling on paper looks relatively strong with Wayne Parnell, David Wiese and Ravi Rampaul all experienced international players, but they are yet to fire as a unit.

It is their batting which is their strongest point, having two players in De Villiers and skipper Kieron Pollard who can take away the game from the opposition in a few overs. Their only win in the tournament so far has come when de Villiers fired.

Barbados is set to play the same XI that took part in the game on Monday.
St Kitts and Nevis Partriots are struggling at the moment, placed second from bottom in the league table with just one win from their five games. They come into this game on the back of consecutive losses; their last game saw Guyana Amazon Warriors beat them by four wickets.

Skipper Faf du Plessis has had a poor time with the bat. The only two players to impress have been Evin Lewis and keeper Devon Thomas who have scored 143 and 141 runs respectively.
With the tournament at its halfway stage, the Patriots outfit will need to start winning games if they are to stay in contention for a spot in the play-offs.
