Second-placed Atletico Madrid will look to bounce back from their Copa del Rey exit in midweek by beating La Liga leaders Barcelona at the Nou Camp on 30 January.

Where to watch

Kick-off is set for 3pm GMT. The game is not scheduled for live broadcast in the UK.

Overview

Barcelona are level on points with Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table and can take a giant stride towards the league title with victory over Diego Simeone's men. The Catalan giants have beaten Atletico in their last five head-to-head meetings in all competitions, with the capital club's last league success at the Nou Camp coming in February 2006.

Midfielder Arda Turan (illness) and full-back Jordi Alba (hamstring) are available again for the hosts, while centre-back Gerard Pique returns after serving a one-match suspension.

Atletico Madrid were eliminated from the Copa del Rey after a 3-2 defeat at home to Celta Vigo in midweek – the first time they have conceded three goals in a match at the Vicente Calderon since a 3-2 loss at the hands of Barcelona in January last year. The 2014 Spanish champions are on a three-game winless run in all competitions.

Fernando Torres is racing to recover from an ankle injury for the Nou Camp clash, while Lucas Hernandez (back) is also a doubt. Argentine striker Angel Correa misses out through suspension.

What managers say

Luis Enrique: "Since the draw we knew that Athletic [Bilbao] would make our lives difficult. They ask a lot of you and in the first half they have stopped us playing our game. We put in an excellent second half, spurred on by the crowd and we found answers when the game was at its most difficult."

Diego Simeone: "We didn't play badly [against Celta Vigo], we created a lot of chances to score. But we failed in the details and they took advantage. We have to congratulate the opponent. I'll take some good things from the match, such as Angel Correa in the second half. It serves us well for the future."
