Liverpool will travel to the Signal Iduna Park arena to take on Borussia Dortmund in the first-leg of the quarter-finals of the Europa League on 6 April.

Where to watch live

Kickoff is at 8.05pm BST. Live TV coverage in the UK is available on BT Sport Europe. Radio commentary is available on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Overview

Jurgen Klopp will return to his former home Borussia Dortmund, less than a year since he parted ways with the club after a disappointing season, which saw them finish in seventh place. The German coach is now the boss at Liverpool, who will visit the Signal Iduna Park for a quarter-final clash in the Europa League. All the focus will be on Klopp before the match gets under way and it will continue until the end of the second-leg at Anfield.

The Bundesliga club will go in to the game as favourites, owing to each clubs status in their respective domestic leagues and current form. Thomas Tuchel will be keen to get one over the former manager and will be boosted by the services of Mats Hummels, Sokratis and Ilkay Gundogan, who have all returned to training ahead of the game.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will do well not to get caught up in the Klopp fever that will be going around, and the Reds boss is sure to get a rousing welcome from his former supporters for all the glory he achieved with the club in the past.

If the Merseyside club want to qualify for the Champions League next season, they need to win the Europa League as it is unlikely for them to do so via the Premier League. Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of Roberto Firmino, who is yet to recover from a hamstring injury, but the manager will hope that the rest of the players can put in a similar performance that saw them secure an entertaining draw against Tottenham Hotspur on 2 April.
