Full time at the end of extra time as we will have penalties to determine a winner between Manchester United and Middlesbrough. The wait for the quarter-final draw continues.

Anthony Martial should have put United into the fifth round. A header back to the Frenchman six yards out sees the forward stoop but miscue his effort and the ball goes wide.

Fellaini heads wide from another United corner. Time running out to find a winner before penalties.

Andreas Pereira almost breaks the deadlock for United, coming inside an driving goalwards from 20 yards but just wide of Tomas Mejias' right-hand post.

With the second half of extra time between United and Boro meandering along, news from Liverpool where manager Jurgen Klopp says he is hopeful striker Christian Benteke will return for the trip to Chelsea on Saturday.

Middlesbrough have been very well organised at Old Trafford, driving Manchester United to frustration at times tonight. Aitor Karanka has performed a tactical masterclass tonight and will they be rewarded with a late winner or on penalties?

First half of extra time set to come to an end at Old Trafford. Ander Herrera overhits a free-kick at the end of that first 15 minutes. The second half and perhaps penalties to follow.

Marouane Fellaini heads wide for United under attention from George Friend. United have had the better of the game in the last 15 minutes or so.

All indications are that the draw has been postponed until after Manchester United and Middlesbrough have concluded their fifth round tie. I will keep you updates regarding that game until then.

Extra underway at Old Trafford. No sign of when the draw may start, with broadcasters Sky Sports continuing to tease us. I will keep you posted when the balls are in the bag.

Full time and Manchester United and Middlesbrough will need 30 additional minutes to separate them. The draw is on the way meanwhile, with both teams in it.

Two minutes added on at Old Trafford as extra time looms. Jesse Lingard hits the post for the home team but can Middlesbrough hold out or even grab a winner themselves?

The numbers have been confirmed for the draw which is just minutes away. The important names and numbers are below.

1. Everton

2. Hull City

3. Sheffield Wednesday

4. Stoke City

5. Liverpool

6. Manchester City

7. Manchester United or Middlesbrough

8. Southampton.

The ties are set to be played the week commencing 30 November.

The full time whistle has gone at Anfield, St Mary's and the Etihad Stadium where Liverpool, Southampton and Manchester City have each edged through, knocking out Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the process in three all-Premier League games. Less than 10 minutes at Old Trafford meanwhile where it remains 0-0.

There is around 20 minutes remaining at Old Trafford where Manchester United are being held by Championship side Middlesbrough, who are more than holding their own against Louis van Gaal's side. After the late kick-off, extra time could see that game slip deep into the night. Rest assured however, the fifth round waits for no one!

Full time at Anfield and Liverpool become the latest side to book their place in the fifth round with a narrow win over AFC Bournemouth, mirroring their Premier League victory earlier in the season. They join Manchester City and Southampton in the hat, while Manchester United and Middlesbrough remain in the draw as they are deadlocked at Old Trafford. Everton, Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City lie in wait after they qualified on Tuesday. The draw in moments away.
