"I think so," says Lee Johnson when asked if this is the biggest result of his career. Chasing promotion of course are the Robins, so they'll be hoping they can build on this.

Lee Johnson and his players watched that draw from behind the Sky Sports cameras, but I wouldn't say there was a great reaction to being drawn with Manchester City. Korey Smith, the matchwinners, wanted Arsenal who are boyhood club but instead they will take on the Premier League leaders.

And just like that, it is all over. Chelsea and Arsenal will square off in the first semi-final, with Bristol City taking on Manchester City in the other last four clash.

The two-legs will take place in the weeks commencing the 8 and 22 January and are a nice taster ahead at the start of the year.

Jose Mourinho labels Bristol City as "lucky". Not bitter then, Jose?

Sad scenes at Ashton Gate at full time.

So let's recap the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal probably secured the most routine passage of all of the sides to reach the last four, beating West Ham by a second half Danny Welbeck goal.

Manchester City needed penalties to beat Leicester City. Jamie Vardy hit the post and Riyad Mahrez's spot-kick was saved by Claudio Bravo as Pep Guardiola's side remained on course for a historic quadruple.

Chelsea are through after striking late to see off Bournemouth. Willian gave them an early lead but Dan Gosling's goal looked to be sending the game into extra time. But substitute Alvaro Morata tucked home the winner in stoppage time.

And there was late drama at Ashton Gate too. Joe Bryan smashed Bristol City ahead against Manchester United, but Zlatan Ibrahimovic's free-kick drew them level. Korey Smith tucked home in the third minute of added-on time to send the Robins soaring into the last four.

Bristol City fans remain on the pitch at Ashton Gate and they're going to drink it all in tonight, and as well they might. One of the biggest nights in their recent history. Jose Mourinho will be sick to death of the place.
