Petr Cech has said Chelsea was pleased with Liverpool's 3-2 victory over Manchester City, claiming that it was probably the result they wanted even though Brendan Rodger's side will be crowned Premier League champions should they win their last four games of the season.

After Chelsea beat Swansea 1-0, Liverpool currently lead the title race, two points clear of the Blues, who are still to visit Anfield, with Manuel Pellegrini's side another five points adrift with two games in hand.

But the Chelsea number one believes that the Liverpool victory was good for their title prospects. If they win their last four games, including the one at at Anfield, and City fail to win their last six games they will win the title.

"We knew the score [from the Liverpool v Man City game earlier in the day] and looking at the result it was probably the one we wanted even though Liverpool are flying. The manager said before our game regardless of that result, if we don't win our game we will make it very easy for them. We won our game and the pressure's still on the teams above and below us," Cech told Chelsea's official website.

Following recent disappointments in the last away games at Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, Cech also expressed his happiness at securing victory against ten-man Swansea, after defender Chico Flores was dismissed in the 16th minute.

"When you play against 10 men they usually have nothing to lose. When you play a big team like Chelsea most people don't expect anything from their team anyway so if you have a good result everyone enjoys it," the keeper added.
