Overview

The Superkings registered a place in the 2013 edition of the CL T20 after making it to the finals of the IPL earlier this year. However, CSK were unable to seal their third IPL trophy, only after losing out to Mumbai Indians in the final.

MS Dhoni and his men have already won the CL T20 earlier in 2010 and the wicket-keeping batsman would be looking to recreate the same form with the current crop of players in this year's edition.

With just fewer games compared to the IPL, Dhoni's men need to act quickly as they are aware that a defeat against the South African side on Sunday could have an impact on their chances of progressing to the next stage.

Meanwhile, the Titans made it to the semifinals of the last season's CL T20. The visitors will be hoping to carry the previous campaign's disappointment as they look for their first Champions League title.

AB de Villiers, Morne Morkel and Roelof van der Merwe will be key players for the Titans as they take on the strong Chennai side on Sunday evening. The South African side will be hoping for a result against CSK as they look to put a dent on two-time IPL champions' hope of winning the Champions League.

CSK and the Titans, along with Trinidad and Tobago, Brisbane Heat and Sunrises Hyderabad are pitted in Group B.
