World No 2 Novak Djokovic will face Mikhail Youzhny in the quarter-finals of the 2014 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships at Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Thursday.

Overview

Djokovic made it to the quarter-finals after a comfortable victory over Roberto Bautista-Agut in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 in the second round of the competition. In the opening round too, the Serbian had a comfortable win over Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.

The 26-year-old has not dropped a set in this year's Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and will be hoping to maintain the record to make it to the final four of the competition. Djokovic, the defending champion, will be hoping to extend the good run after winning four times in the last five years.

Meanwhile, Youzhny sealed a place in the final eight of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships after registering a win in the second round, defeating Great Britain's James Ward.

The 31-year-old also had a straight set victory over Ward, only for the second set to be decided on tie-breaker. Youzhny won 6-7, 7-6. Youzhny has also not dropped a set in this competition and it will be an exciting quarter-final tie on Thursday.
