Chris Rushworth
Rushworth's career-best figures saw Durham complete victory mid-way through day three.

Durham's Chris Rushworth bowled himself into the record books with the best County Championship match figures for 14 years after taking 15 wickets in one day to help defeat Northamptonshire by an innings and 218 runs at Chester-le-Street.

The 28 year old finished with season-best figures of 9-52 in the first innings, missing out on taking the first domestic 10-for since Ottis Gibson in 2007 as Northants were bowled out for 83.

With the follow-on enforced, Rushworth helped Durham power to victory in their final game of the season, bowling out their opponents for just 90 as he finished his days' work with 6-43.

Rushworth, who has never represented England at international level, finished with match figures of 15-95, the best by a Championship bowler since Martin Bicknell took 16-119 in 2000.
