THE BALLS ARE OUT OF THE BAG. We are ready to go.

Any minute now, we promise.

We were promised a 7:10 start so we should be ready to roll any minute now.

While we count down to the draw itself, what were some of your best memories of last season's competition?

For us, it has to be Sutton United's memorable cup run which produced this moment of pure schoolyard magic from Sutton's Jamie Collins as he tried to halt Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's run down the wing by throwing a fake headbutt. Trying to scare one of those fancy-dan Premier League footballers with a moment of pure non-league aggro is what the magic of the cup is all about.

Non-league AFC Fylde, Hereford and Woking all forced second-round replays over the weekend.

The former will have to find a way back 2013 champions Wigan Athletic when they tangle in their replay on Tuesday, while Hereford will have home advantage when they welcome Fleetwood Town to Edgar Street. Woking meanwhile travel to the ABAX Stadium hoping cause a shock and send League One Peterborough United on their way.

Third round fixtures are scheduled to take place on 6 and 7 of January – although expect one or two to be shifted out to Friday 5 January and Monday 8 January by the time the New Year rolls around.

166 days before the 2018 final at Wembley and the third round draw for the FA Cup is upon us. At this stage of the competition, everyone from Manchester City to Luton Town is in within the same chance of winning the famous old trophy – with four non-league sides still hoping to cause a stir.

The draw at this stage last year was a bit of a let-down – with most of the Premier Leaguer big boys all kept away from the sides lower down the echelons of English football looking to spark their own magic run with a good old fashioned giant killing.
Let's hope a for a few this time around.
