Finn Balor might miss Wrestlemania 33 if it takes more time for him to heal from his shoulder injury, which he suffered during a match against Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship, according to a report. The Demon King had to vacate the title immediately due to the injury after becoming the first-ever Universal Champion.

According to The Inquisitr, Balor in a video has said that the surgery he underwent last week was "a lot more complicated than originally anticipated", which could delay the wrestler's return to WWE from the original recovery duration of 4-6 months. The news website has claimed that the wrestler's recovery in 4 months is "highly unlikely" because of the seriousness of his shoulder injury, but there is a possibility that he could do it in 6 months if not longer.

The report goes on to say that if Balor does recovery in 4 months, then he could return to WWE by the end of the year. But, if he takes 6 months to recover then fans will see the wrestler back in action in February 2017. However, the report further says that if the wrestler takes more than 6 months to return to then he could miss Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando in 2017.

Balor was picked up from NXT for the Raw roaster during the brand split. Since then the wrestler has defeated Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Rusev, Cesaro and Seth Rollins to become the first-ever Universal Champion, a newly created title that is designed to rival SmackDown Live's top title.
