Hasan Piker is fighting back against xQc and Asmongold after facing backlash for performing the 'We are Charlie Kirk' song YouTube/Hasanabi Clips

Hasan Piker escalated his long-running feud with fellow streamers xQc and Asmongold by calling them 'worm-like individuals' as he defended his performance of the 'We Are Charlie Kirk' song during a 'Just Chatting' livestream on 23 August.

The political commentator used the broadcast to address mounting criticism and to respond to claims that xQc had accused him of advocating political violence.

Piker dismissed his critics as opportunists and described xQc, Asmongold and others as 'worm-like individuals'. The latest exchange has added another chapter to a continuing dispute between some of the biggest personalities in online streaming, with political disagreements and accusations of outrage farming now at the centre of the argument.

Why Is Hasan Piker Facing Backlash?

The controversy began after footage emerged of Piker singing 'We Are Charlie Kirk' during a live episode of the 'Fear&' podcast. The song subsequently became the subject of intense online discussion, with critics arguing that the performance was inappropriate given the political context surrounding Kirk.

The incident quickly attracted the attention of other prominent internet personalities, including xQc and Asmongold. Their criticism prompted Piker to address the situation directly during his stream.

Rather than backing down, Piker questioned the motives of those attacking him. He argued that some online personalities were using the controversy to generate engagement and accused them of 'farming outrage' and 'farming the algorithm'.

Piker also questioned whether his political views were influencing how his actions were being judged.

Hasan Calls xQc and Asmongold 'Worm-Like'

Piker's response became more personal when he turned his attention towards xQc and Asmongold. He claimed that his opinion of the streamers 'couldn't get lower' and described his critics as 'worm-like individuals'.

He also grouped xQc, Asmongold and political commentator Steven 'Destiny' among what he characterised as opportunists.

Piker also argued that the streamers lacked genuine political positions and instead focused on creating controversy and attracting attention. He suggested that viewers following their political opinions would not necessarily be led towards a meaningful political position.

The comments have further intensified an already combative relationship between Piker and xQc, who have repeatedly clashed over politics and other controversies involving the streaming community.

Piker Accuses Critics of Double Standards

The streamer also claimed there was a double standard in the criticism surrounding the Charlie Kirk song.

Piker questioned why he could not make jokes that he believed other personalities were permitted to make without facing comparable outrage.

He criticised what he viewed as 'pearl-clutching' over the incident. He further argued that critics should be judged according to positions and causes they had previously supported or shown enthusiasm for.

That argument formed a central part of Piker's response, as he attempted to shift the discussion away from the song itself and towards what he sees as inconsistency among online commentators.

xQc and Asmongold Have Yet To Respond

Despite the strength of Piker's comments, neither xQc nor Asmongold had publicly responded to his latest remarks at the time of the report. That leaves the current dispute largely centred on Piker's livestream and the criticism that preceded it.

The episode shows how disagreements between major streamers can escalate. What began with a controversial performance has developed into a broader argument over political expression, online reaction and whether creators apply consistent standards when judging one another.

For Piker, the issue is about what he considers hypocrisy among his critics. For xQc and Asmongold, any future response could determine whether the latest exchange becomes another brief streaming-community dispute or the start of a longer-running feud.

For now, Piker has set out his position: he believes the criticism is driven less by genuine concern and more by opportunism. Whether xQc or Asmongold chooses to answer back remains the next question in a public streamer dispute.
