How Did Influencer Igho Ubiribo Die in Bangkok? Coroner Rules Penis Filler Procedure Caused Pulmonary Embolism

Igho Ubiribo, the 43-year-old British-Nigerian businessman known online as Tiny and Tiny Ego, died from a pulmonary embolism caused by a cosmetic filler procedure, according to a ruling by London coroner Jean Harkin. Ubiribo died in the early hours of 6 March 2026, with details of the cause of death emerging after an inquest at Inner West London Coroners' Court.

The Filler Procedure in Bangkok

Ubiribo was in Bangkok with his wife, fashion designer and socialite Danielle Simba Allen, and was staying at the Marriott Marquis Queen's Park hotel. Evidence presented at the inquest showed that he visited an unnamed Thai clinic, where 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid mixed with lidocaine were injected into his penis as part of a cosmetic augmentation procedure.

Hyaluronic acid is a filler used in cosmetic procedures, while lidocaine is a numbing agent. At the clinic, the procedure was reportedly presented as a nonsurgical method of increasing girth and described as a quick appointment with no recovery period.

After leaving the clinic, Ubiribo and Allen went for a massage. During the massage, he complained of chest pain and passed out twice. An ambulance took him to Sukhumvit Hospital, where he was initially alert enough to answer questions. Allen told medical staff about the injections he had received earlier that day.

Dr Thongchai Chansirirattingkul of Sukhumvit Hospital told the inquest that Ubiribo had fainted twice during the massage and had received 40 millilitres of penile filler earlier that day. Doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism and recommended a CT scan, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before it could be performed.

He was transferred to intensive care, where medical staff performed CPR for more than 100 minutes before he was pronounced dead.

How Did Igho Ubiribo Die?

The cause of death was confirmed following a postmortem examination in the UK. Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that he found filler material in Ubiribo's lungs that was consistent with the hyaluronic acid injected during the procedure. The finding indicated that the filler had entered his bloodstream and travelled to his lungs.

Harkin ruled that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism caused by the cosmetic procedure. A pulmonary embolism is a blockage in blood vessels supplying the lungs and can place significant strain on the heart.

Ubiribo's primary care doctor in London told the inquest that he had previously undergone joint operations and was pre-diabetic and had gout, but had no other significant medical conditions.

Ubiribo's Life and Funeral

Ubiribo had built an Instagram audience of roughly 185,000 people. He owned a home in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles valued at around $1.1 million and an apartment in London worth approximately $600,000.

He and Allen married in Zimbabwe in 2022 in a ceremony reported to have cost $473,000.

Ubiribo was buried in London in May. Reports put the cost of his gold coffin at more than $745,000. Davido and Cubana Chief Priest were among the mourners.

A friend known as Celebrity Bar Man posted footage from the service and wrote that even in death, the lifestyle was maintained for Ubiribo, adding that London 'stood still' that day.
