Jose Mourinho Signs Former Real Madrid Trainer in Chelsea Reunion

Jose Mourinho has signed his former Real Madrid physical trainer Carlos Lalin to Chelsea's medical and fitness department, reports in Spain claim.

Lalin has been with the Champions League winners for the past four seasons – working with Jose Mourinho and the rest of his staff during the Mourinho's three seasons tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Spanish newspaper Marca reports the Spaniard has since joined Chelsea after Mourinho's approach.

Even though Chelsea's official website does not yet list him on its medical and fitness department, Marca says Lalin has already been working with the Blues in pre-season training.

According to Marca Lalin not only established a close relationship with Mourinho during his time in La Liga but also with his assistant Rui Faria – helping injured Real Madrid players return to action.

Earlier this summer Mourinho claimed that Chelsea were not expected to make any deals with Real Madrid – as he maintains a healthy relationship with the Los Blancos board.

"I have an excellent friendship with important people within Real Madrid and they know that Ramires is going to stay at Chelsea. They know that Ramires is not leaving, but they also know that I'm not interested in any Real Madrid players. Varane and Khedira? I reiterate that I'm not interested in any Real players, and that's the end of the matter," he said.

However, recent reports have claimed that Mourinho is actually keen on reuniting with both midfielder Sami Khedira and centre-back Raphael Varane at Stamford Bridge.
