Full time: Leicester City 0-0 Manchester City

Final change for Leicester as Richie De Laet comes on for Albrighton.

Albrighton swings it in but Hart gets a firm punch on it and clears the danger.

Hang on, Otamendi has gone down. He's ran into the back of Huth's hand and that's all fairly ridiculous. Three minutes of time added on.

Brilliant again from Vardy, who charges down Sagna's clearance and cleverly wins a free kick as he leaps to win the ball. Free kick Leicester coming in from the left.

Sterling, whose probably been City's most dangerous player this evening, is off, with Iheanacho onto replace him with minutes remaining.

Less than five minutes of this contest remaining now. Either side could have snatched this already.

Albrighton is shown a yellow card for a late and high challenge on Sagna,

Great defending from Mangala (!) to keep up and hold off Vardy as the striker threatens to break onto a loose ball in the box. Down the other end, Morgan makes yet another excellent block to deflect Bony's shot wide.

Marhez shifts the free kick onto Fuchs who hammers a terrific effort on goal, but Hart reads it well and makes the save. Ulloa's run after that was offside, giving City a chance to catch their breath.

Mangala comes crashing into Ulloa who cleverly draws the foul from the Frenchman, winning his side a free kick right on the edge of the penalty box.

Vardy stings the palms of Hart after picking up Drinkwater's pass, but from a difficult angle, finding the back of the net was always going to be a big ask.

Bony wastes another decent chance for City. Sterling easily dances in from the touchline and slides a ball into the path of the big striker on the edge of the six yard area, but he doesn't get the right connection and scoops over.

An attacking change for Leicester now as Ulloa comes on for Inler.

Toure tries to turn away from Inter and is hauled down for his trouble. Kolarov tries to whip one in but Drinkwater is across bravely to nut it clear.

Inler brilliantly intercepts Aguero in the box, sending the Argentine sprawling and prompting appeals for a penalty. They are ignored, and it's his last action of the game as Wilfried Bony comes onto replace him.

Good move from Leicester as Mahrez slides a delightful ball down the inside right channel to find Albrighton's run. The former Aston Villa winger can shoot or play it across to Vardy but instead skews it wide of the far post.

Big appeals from City for handball after the ball rolls up the arm of the sliding Simpson but those shouts are waved away.

Vardy brilliantly lays the ball of for Kante, taking two players out of the game and allowing the midfielder to bounce forward unchallenged. He has the option of sliding in Mahrez but instead tries to find the far corner with a dipping effort but it veers just wide of the post!

Another half chance for City! Sterling forces the ball in from the right with the ball breaking to Aguero in the box, but his first time effort is brilliantly charged down. Toure picks up the pieces and lashes an effort of his own on goal but against Leicester are alive to block his shot.

Early chance for City as De Bruyne cuts the ball inside for Aguero who has the goal at his mercy, but lifts his effort over the bar! Poor effort.

And we are back underway for the second half.

Half time: Leicester City 0-0 Manchester City

City win a corner in what is likely to be the last action of the half.

Mahrez is left on the ground following a meaty collision with Otamendi, having also been caught from behind by Fernandinho. He's down for a few minutes to recieve treatment.

Vardy now forces a corner. Leicester are coming alive.

Vardy spurs a brilliant chance! City have been fairly solid at the back so far but that was almost a catastrophe as Fernandinho is caught dawdling, allowing Vardy through one on one. Unbelievably, given his form, he loses his composure and smashes it clean over the bar.

Leicester almost snatch one! Fuchs does brilliantly out on the left, turning his man and whipping a fine ball across the face of goal. Vardy can't quite reach but Albrighton is racing in at the far post. He streches his boot to make contact but can't force it on goal.

City are firmly in charge at the moment but Leicester are not helping themselves by being very careless with their passing in midfield.

De Bruyne's corner finds Aguero who is able to bring the ball down and turn but his effort is skewed wide.

Sterling now has a crack from range, shifting the ball onto his left with a neat first touch before letting fly, but Schmeichel can push it over the bar.

Sagna now whips a terrific ball in from the right but it bypasses everyone but Simpson, who just manages to push it out for a throw in.

Aguero threads one for Silva who overhits a pass over the face of goal, forcing de Bruyne into a wonderful first touch to keep the move alive. He shifts it across to Kolarov who winds one back and... smashes it over the bar.

Schmeichel denies Sterling ! Sagna knocks the ball in field to De Bruyne who nods it back out to the Frenchman, who can clip a clever ball onto Sterling. The former Liverpool man is in behind the Leicester backline again and this time opts to drive one towards the bottom corner, but the Foxes goalkeeper gets down quickly and gets enough on it to push it wide.

Mahrez comes alive for the first time. Kolarov is dispossessed by the Algerian who cuts inside at pace from the right before trying to curl another left footer for the top corner. This time, his radar is askew, and lifts his shot over the bar.

Mahrez is immediatelty swamped by three Leicester players down the inside right so he shifts the ball wide to Kante who swings a cross into the box. Under pressure from Otamendi, Vardy goes for the spectacular but doesn't get any real contact.

City immediately come up the other end but Morgan does brilliantly faced one on one with Sterling and breaks down the attack.

Silva suddenly has a great chance to take the shot on just outside the box but instead he slides one into Aguero, whose shot deflects over with a cluster of Leicester shirts closing him down.

City with the first chance of the evening! Sagna scoops a decent ball over the top down the inside right and Sterling comfortably gets inside Huth. Cutting into the box, he holds up before sliding a pass across to De Bruyne but his first time effort is well saved by Schmeichel

Leicester try one from the training ground with Fuchs clipping a ball into the box for Huth, but the big defender can't keep his header down and nuts one over.

Inler shows his experience about 35 yards out from his own goal, picking up the loose ball and waits for the challenge from Sterling, winning a free kick for his side.

Simpson heads away De Bruyne's corner but City quickly get the ball back. Sterling is picked out down the inside right but he overhits his cross and the danger is gone.

Aguero recieves the ball with his back to goal, drops a shoulder and tries to scamper around Kante at the near post. He just about manages it but his shot on goal is deflected wide for a corner.

The Serbian whips it in but a Leicester defender can nut it clear. De Bruyne tries to keep the pressure on but Fuchs does well and wins a goal kick.

City win a free kick out on the left after Kolarov is upended.

No surprise to see Leicester looking for Vardy at every chance. Twice he has tried to put the fear into City's defence but on each occasion Otamendi and Mangala have coped fairly well bringing it out of play.

Mahrez's first involvement sees him pick up the ball from 30 yards out after a slight slip from Mangala but his pass for Vardy is over hit and rolls out of play.

Kolarov charges down the left but his low cross is diverted away by Inler. He shifts the ball up to Albrighton who can set Vardy off for the first time during the match. Using that searing pace of his, he puts City under pressure and wins a throw in for his side.

The cross is overhit but luckily for Leicester, Sagna makea a bit of a mess of the clearance and Leicester have a throw in deep in enemy territory.

Albrighton tries to dance inside past Sagna but is clipped by the Frenchman and Leicester have a free kick from out on the left flank.

Man City lost Vincent Kompany after just nine minutes against Sunderland on Saturday and he fails to make the squad tonight. That leaves Manuel Pellegrini with the combination of Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi tonight.

The last fixture of 2015 could see Leicester return to the summit of the Premier League. A year ago they were rockbottom and looking like they were on the way out of the top flight. It hasn't been a bad 12 months for the Foxes.

BREAKING: Drinkwater returns in midfield after missing the 1-0 defeat at Liverpool. Jamie Vardy and Riyhad Marhez both start.

BREAKING: Sergio Aguero starts up front ahead of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Raheem Sterling. Nicolas Otamendi and Eliaquim Mangala continue at centre half with Vincent Kompany ruled out.

Leicester's defeat at Anfield on Boxing Day was their first since the defeat to Arsenal in September. Since then, they have transformed into early front runners to possible title contenders. But this current run of fixtures, which also includes a trip to Tottenham in January, was always going to be the biggest test of their credentials. After a comfortable win over Chelsea and a narrow loss to Liverpool, their performance tonight should give us the greatest indication yet of where this current Foxes side is at.

Leicester City can move back to the top of the Premier League if they can record their 12th win of the season at the King Power Stadium this evening. Not many (well, no one, let's be honest) would have predicted this to be a top of the table clash at the beginning of the season but Manchester City will start the evening hoping to close the gap on the Foxes and move to within a point of leaders Arsenal.

Both Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy were taken off in Leicester's Boxing Day defeat to Liverpool but both are fit and ready for tonight's showdown. Claudio Ranieri's side were without Danny Drinkwater for that defeat at Anfield but the midfielder could be in line to return after recovering from a hamstring problem.

Manchester City meanwhile have looked rather blunt with Sergio Aguero's recent struggles for full fitness but the Argentina international is fit to lead their attack. Vincent Kompany's aborted comeback against Sunderland means he is an absentee this evening while both Fernando and Pablo Zabaleta are expected to be missing.

Confirmed line ups are expected in the next 10 minutes or so, we will have all the team news for you as it emerges.
