Troubled star Lindsay Lohan's mother has reportedly been banned from participating in her rehab treatment after a drunken phone call a few weeks ago.

According to TMZ, just before Lohan's birthday on 2 July, the people at the rehab facility got her mother on phone. However, they realised that she was completely drunk and ended the call. Apparently, the rehab team also felt it would be best for Lohan if she stopped talking to her altogether for the rest of her stay.

Lohan is currently serving a 90-day sentence at the Cliffside rehabilitation centre, which is expected to end on 31 July.

Meanwhile, the Oprah Winfrey Network has confirmed a $2m deal with Lohan for an eight-part documentary series about the former Disney star's troubles, career and future plans.

A statement revealed that "OWN will air an exclusive interview with Oprah and Lindsay Lohan to be aired in August and an eight-part documentary series billed for 2014."

Apparently OWN has been negotiating the deal with Lohan for around four months. She signed the deal during her stay at the Betty Ford clinic and will reportedly also receive two paid assistants and a full-time stylist from Winfrey.

The starlet's mother Dina Lohan, 50, was elated about her daughter's new mentor.

"Oh it's fantastic, if anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah," she stated.
