In this week's A-List Insider: Prince Harry confirms Meghan Markle romance, celebrities react to Donald Trump presidential victory and the new marvel villain Vulture is revealed.

Donald Trump heading to the White House

Stars from the world of showbiz have reacted to news that Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States. The business tycoon, who has no political experience, defeated his democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the polls on 8 November, leaving the likes of Katy Perry and Chris Evans stunned and embarrassed.

Cher, an outspoken opposer of the Republican, described the news as a "WICKED NIGHTMARE" while Lady Gaga shared a snap of herself in tears and encouraged Michelle Obama to run for the presidency in 2020 before protesting outside of Trump Tower in New York City early on Wednesday morning.

Both Clinton and outgoing President Obama have urged a divided America to come together to support Trump but only time will tell whether the public will listen.

Prince Harry defends girlfriend Meghan Markle

Meanwhile, after weeks of speculation Prince Harry has confirmed he is dating Suits actress Meghan Markle, but it wasn't a celebratory announcement.

The royals rallied to protect the Markle – who has a white father and black mother – from harassment with the release of a scathing statement which cited racist and sexist undertones in the media's coverage and revealed that she and her family had been hounded following the exposure of their romance.

The statement from Kensington Palace confirmed that she is his girlfriend and said that a line had been crossed.

And finally, Marvel fans will be excited to learn that the identity of the Spiderman: Homecoming villain has finally been revealed. Birdman star Michael Keaton will play Vulture.

Studio president Kevin Feige told the Toronto Sun the Hollywood actor had been on his cast wish list and his portrayal of Vulture was "something else".

Although Vulture has strong links with villainous group the Sinister Six, the winged criminal frequently worked alone in the Marvel comics.

Spiderman: Homecoming is scheduled to be released in the US on 7 July 2017.
