FULL TIME

Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United

7:27: Fellaini rifles one on target but Martinez catches it and launches the ball forward. Gibbs drives forwards and plays the ball across goal to Cazorla whose shot is blocked brilliantly by Carrick. United clear again.

7:25: Di Maria tries to run the clock down and wins a free kick in the corner. Olivier Giroud wades in and a mini scuffle breaks out which results in him and James Wilson picking up a booking. That will add a couple more minutes on.

7:22: What a goal from Giroud! The Frenchman lashes one into the top corner out of nowhere. De Gea got a hand to it and will be disappointed to have been beaten at his near post, but it was a wonderful half volley from the returning striker. Three minutes remain, can they find another?

Goal! Arsenal 1-2 Manchester United (Olivier Giroud, 90+4)

7:20: Oh, Angel. It should be 3-0 United as they break again from an Arsenal corner. Rooney again does brilliantly to lift the ball over two Arsenal men before freeing the Argentine whose one on one. He goes for a dinked effort over the goalkeeper but lifts it wide of the post.

7:18: Eight minutes of extra time added on, on the account of Wilshere's and Szczesny's injuries in this half. Can Arsenal muster anything else?

7:16: United make their final change as Ashley Young, who came on for Luke Shaw in the first half, is replaced by Darren Fletcher. That's a tactical adjustment by van Gaal rather than a disservice to Young who has had a solid game.

7:15: Less than three minutes of normal time remaining. Arsenal advance again but at no great pace, posing no real danger.

7:11: United have another! Arsenal have looked increasingly vulnerable on the counter attack and this time United have got their execution of it perfectly. Another frantic move from Arsenal broke down, allowing Fellaini to brilliantly free Angel di Maria down the right. He finds Rooney bursting into the box and shows terrific composure to lift it over Martinez and into the back of the net.

Goal! Arsenal 0-2 Manchester United (Wayne Rooney, 84)

7:08: di Maria can relieve some tension as he races forward with Rooney joining him for company. Rooney takes over and holds up play as reinforcements join buy Arsenal hold their line well and get the ball back.

7:06: It's all very tight as Arsenal try to pick their way through United's defence. They almost do but some last gasp challenges prevent any Arsenal player from getting a telling shot off inside the box.

7:04: Giroud tussles with Blackett inside the box for an Arsenal corner but shrugs his man off to connect with a header, but can't keep it down as it sails over the bar.

7:03: And here's one for Arsenal: Olivier Giroud makes his return to replace Ramsey.

7:02: Change for Manchester United as James Wilson comes onto replace van Persie, He's involved immediately but di Maria's ball in from the left is too heavy for the teenager to reach.

7:01: A straight through ball down the middle almost frees Welbeck one on one but Smalling shows great pace to get back and dig the ball out of trouble. Arsenal come again though.

7:00: From a difficult angle, Sanchez tries to whip one into the top corner but can't keep it down.

7:59: Ramsey wins a free kick on the edge of the United box following a challenge from Fellaini. That's a soft one, it looked like the Belgian got a toe to the ball.

6:58: Young, who has had a very good game since replacing Shaw, does well down the left and forces another corner. It's floated into Fellaini who wins it in the air with ease, but can't get enough power on it to trouble the goalkeeper.

6:56: Welbeck knocks the ball down into the path of Cazorla who can hit a half volley from the edge of the box! It's arrowed straight at de Gea again however.

6:55: Another Arsenal attack breaks down and van Persie brilliantly rolls his marker to find a yard of space. Di Maria makes the overlapping run but the pass is mistimed and finds the Argentine in an offside position.

6:52: Arsenal are probing here, but they are dangerously open on the counter attack if they lose possession. An example of that sees Young freed by Rooney but before he can gallop into the opposition's half Cazorla clips his ankles. The Spaniard takes his yellow card.

6:50: Oxlade-Chamberlain again does brilliantly down the right and lifts a great cross into the box. Sanchez sneaks in behind Valencia and arrows a low header on goal, but De Gea is behind it again. Moments later Sanchez is in space again off to the right of the goal but his ball into the box is sent into the arms of the United 'keeper.

6:48: Angel di Maria receives the ball down the left flank and frees Rooney. Arsenal are in real trouble with van Persie joining the attack but they are saved by the raised flag of the linesman. It;s an awful decision, however, Rooney was at least a yard onside.

6:46: It gets worse for Arsenal, Szczesny is unable to continue after that collision with his teammate. He loses the argument with the team doctor and makes way for Emiliano Martinez.

6:43: United have the lead! Ashley Young swings in a cross from the left that draws Szczesny out to punch clear, but the Gunners goalkeeper can only partially clear and clatters into Gibbs on the edge of the six yard box. Valencia picks up the loose ball and thumps it across goal, where it flicks off the leg of Gibbs and into the far corner.

Goal! Arsenal 0-1 Manchester United (Kieran Gibbs, OG, 55)

6:40: Wilshere comes back on after getting some treatment, but within minutes he's back down again. Like Luke Shaw, he will leave the pitch with an injury, being replaced by Santi Cazorla.

6:38: United again make more trouble for themselves with Fellaini this time losing the ball. Wilshere advances and slides the ball into the box but United, through the combination of Blackett and McNair clear the danger. Wilshere however has remained down after McNair's challenge.

6:37: Now Welbeck bursts into space down the inside left with McNair exposed and he can't keep up with his former teammate. From a tight angle, Welbeck shoots but De Gea is again perfectly positioned to make the block at his near post.

6:35: Mertesacker knocks the corner onto Oxlade-Chamberlain who can't take a shot on first time. He tries to work space across goal but his eventual effort trickles out, via a deflection. Another corner comes in, but this time Mertesacker diverts it wide.

6:34: A couple of dodgy back passes from United early in the second half invite more pressure from Arsenal. Oxlade-Chamberlain then brilliantly cuts back on his marker and darts down the right but his cross is thumped clear by Fellaini. Arsenal corner.

6:31: And we are back underway for the second half.

6:18: Arsenal will feel they should be ahead after a frenetic opening 15 minutes from the home side. A combination of poor finishing and yet more heroics from David de Gea kept them at bay, however, and United slowly grew into the second half.

HALF TIME

Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United

6:16: Chambers embarks down the right but has no support in the box. He crosses anyway, but it's a poor delivery that veers out of play. Two minutes of added time being played.

6:13: Gibbs wins a corner that is floated into the six yard area only for De Gea to punch clear. Wilshere is first to it however and finds Welbeck inside the box. Held up by Smalling, he tries a backheel but can't quite pull it off.

6:11: What a chance for Smalling! The latest in a succession of corners falls nicely to the centre half on the volley yards out from goal but he slices it completely and the ball rolls harmlessly out of play.

6:09: The corner is a terrible one but United win the ball back and apply pressure. Young's deflected cross evades van Persie who was yards offside, but United are awarded another corner.

6:07: Blackett makes a crucial block down the other end and United can launch a counter. Di Maria does brilliantly out on the touchline, skipping between the challenges of Arteta and Gibbs and heads towards goal. He slides the ball into Rooney but his effort is charged down and United have a corner.

6:06: Di Maria cuts in from right, beating his man with ease and opts to try and curl one into the far corner but it flies a yard or two wide.

6:04: Sanchez darts past Valencia with ease about 25 yards out from goal and fires one towards the bottom corner but De Gea reads it all the way and makes the save.

6:02: Wilshere could have been shown a red card there. Referee Mike Dean was also on the receiving end of a volley of abuse from the Gunners midfielder after that incident with Fellaini, but chose to let him off for both incidents.

6:00: Fellaini cleverly wins a free kick on the edge of his own box after standing in the path of Wilshere. Wilshere reacts angrily and appears to thrust his head into the Belgian. It's only into his chest such is the height difference between the two but Wilshere is very lucky not to punished there.

5:58: Michael Carrick gives the ball away, inviting more Arsenal pressure. Sanchez and Welbeck probe on the edge of the box but it eventually trickles out for another corner. Wilshere takes, but it's overhit and United can breathe again.

5:56: Di Maria makes a bit of space inside the box for himself but moves too early and Valencia's pass to him can only find an Arsenal defender. It;s worth mentioning, Sanchez has been terrific thus far. It was his pressing that forced the errors that led to Wilshere's chance, and is wonderful ball that picked out Oxlade-Chamberlain moments ago.

5:54: United's back line caught out again! De Gea comes to the rescue again however as he comes charging out to force Oxlade-Chamberlain wide before making the block.

5:52: Rooney stands over the free kick but can't keep his curling effort down. Arsenal goal kick.

5:51: Some composed passing from Rooney, Carrick and Young gives United some respite before finding Di Maria who wins a free kick after a challenge from behind from Ramsey.

5:50: Fellaini wins a header and knocks it into the path of van Persie who has some space down the inside right channel. He tries to beat Arteta, but the Spaniard wins the duel and Arsenal have the ball back.

5:48: Jack Wilshere wants a penalty after being shrugged off the ball by Shaw but the ref isn't interested. Shaw can't continue after that earlier injury, Ashley Young has come on. United haven't strung more than three passes together all game.

5:46: De Gea saves! United's defence is all over the place. It starts off with a poor back pass to De Gea which the Spaniard can only clear to Arteta. It's immediately pinged into the path of Wilshere whose broken into the box, but his De Gea blocks his effort on goal.

5:45: Arsenal are really all over United in these opening 12 minutes. Wilshere cuts inside with United defenders backing off him and curls one on goal, but it's straight at De Gea. Moments later Welbeck has a go from distance, but it's again easily saved.

5:43: Sanchez, just inside his own half, easily beats Fellaini with a delightful turn and arrows a ball over the top for Ramsey, but there is just too much on it and De Gea collects.

5:41: Blackett pounds a ball down the left flank that Shaw is never getting to and Monreal sees it out. The £27m full back looks to moving freely now after that early scare.

5:40: Shaw trots back onto the pitch. He'll continue, for now.

5:39: Oxlade-Chamberlain is terrorising United down the right. With Shaw off the pitch, he breaks again and swings a delightful ball into the box, but Welbeck can't keep is header down.

5:37: Another injury problem for United, Luke Shaw is down and looks in real pain after turning on his ankle. He limps off the pitch for treatment, but looks a major doubt to continue.

5:36: Mertesacker outjumps Fellaini for the resulting corner but can only nod wide of the goal.

5:34: Oxlade-Chamberlain cuts in from the right into the box and slides a reverse ball through to Welbeck who is clean through! McNair reads it well however and blocks Welbeck';s weak effort on goal,

5:34: Sanchez almost in! Antonio Valencia waits for David de Gea to come out and get the ball but he doesn't come, giving the Chilean a sniff of a chance. The United goalkeeper eventually gets there and collects.

5:32: Michael Carrick clips a ball over for Di Maria down the inside right channel but is marshalled with by Monreal who is helped out by Chambers.

5:27: And United get us underway, playing in the blue away strip.

5:25: The two teams are in the tunnel, we are five minutes away from kick off.

5:18: United have however enjoyed their trips to the Emirates in recent years. They have lost just one of their last 14 visits to the red half of north London, winning 10 and drawing three in all competitions.

5:15: Manchester United are still to win on the road this season. They have picked up just three points away from Old Trafford this term, draws with Sunderland, Burnley and West Brom.

4:26: It's all gone quiet at Stamford Bridge. This is all very 2005 of Chelsea, after getting a 2-0 lead at home they have been happy to settle for that scoreline. Each attempt from the Blues has been an attempt to fashion the perfect goal trying to walk the ball in. It hasn't worked yet.

Goal! Chelsea 2-0 West Brom (Eden Hazard, 26)
