Liverpool will face Stoke City in the weekend Premier League clash at Anfield on Saturday.

Where to Watch

Kick-off is at 3pm GMT. Catch the highlights of the game on Match of the Day on BBC One and BBC One HD at 10:20pm GMT.

Overview

Liverpool are without a win in the last five matches played in all competitions and that includes four defeats and a draw – the latter came against Ludogorets in the Champions League clash on Wednesday.

Brendan Rodgers has seen his side go without a win in the league since their victory over Queens Park Rangers in October. The former Swansea boss would be hoping his side could end their recent poor run when they face Stoke on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Potters have also been going through a rough patch as they have managed just one win in the last five matches played in all competitions. In the last match, they suffered a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Stoke in front of the home fans.

Stoke are 11th in the table with 15 points from 12 games and their Saturday's opponents are one point behind them in 12th place. A victory for either of the sides is likely to see them move to the first half of the table, depending on the results elsewhere.

What Managers Say

Brendan Rodgers: "As a goalkeeper you have to be able to let these things go. The goal was a massive setback for the team but we need to keep his confidence as high as we can. We have to look to the weekend and keep a clean sheet."

Mark Hughes: "We are looking forward to the big games now. If you look at our form away from them you will see we've gone on our travels and played well. Confidence-wise, we are in decent shape with the win at Tottenham, which was comfortable in my opinion. We can go to Anfield and give another good account of ourselves, I am sure of that."
