Manchester United are considering a move in signing Arsenal target Angel Di Maria in the summer transfer window, according to the Metro.

The Real Madrid star has been linked with a move to the north London side in recent times as Arsene Wenger is keen on securing his services. However, the player's price tag has reportedly cooled down the Gunners' interest in signing the winger.

The report claims Di Maria is one of the top targets for the Red Devils, which has been handed to the senior Old Trafford officials by United's incoming manager Louis van Gaal. The Premier League giants are ready to offer £25m to Real in landing their talented winger.

United are waiting to get a quick response from the La Liga outfit so that they can focus on the remaining transfer targets, if Real rejects their approach.

The Argentine international has been in fine form for the Spanish capital club and played a crucial role in Real's victory over their arch-rivals Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final earlier this month.

The 26-year-old has scored 12 goals and managed 23 assists from 55 appearances in all competitions for Real. His form is attracting interest from top clubs and he is aware of the growing interest for his signature.

Di Maria admitted that he is unsure over his future at Santiago Bernabeu beyond the summer transfer window, but has expressed his desire to continue with the newly crowned Champions League winners.

"I am not going to lie, I know that there are clubs that want to sign me and can match Real Madrid's demands. But that's up to my representatives and the club. I will stay if the club wants me to stay," Di Maria explained.

"I am not thinking about my future now. We will see what Madrid have in mind, whether they want me to stay or leave."

"I am happy at Madrid. I had a great season and always had everybody's support. But sometimes you don't have a choice, even when you want to stay yourself," the Real star concluded.
