Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has claimed he would pick teammates Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria in his dream five-a-side team during a question and answer session with fans on Facebook.

The Spaniard has a very close relationship with compatriots Ander Herrera and David de Gea, but says he would omit them from his side, as he would rather "an offensive team".

When asked which team-mates he would pick alongside him in a five-a-side team, Mata said: "I don't want to be unfair on everyone else but I would definitely pick an offensive team."

"So it would be me, Wazza, Robin, Radamel and Angel. Ander [Herrera] will be angry with me but I don't mind!" the Spaniard said.

Mata moved to Old Trafford from Chelsea during last January's transfer window in a £37.1m deal, after falling out of favour with manager Jose Mourinho.

Asked about his favourite part about signing for United, he said: "It's just the feeling that you have when you play for such a massive club knowing that you are followed by millions and millions of people around the world."

Even though Mata has never hidden his special passion for the London life, he claims he is enjoying his time in Manchester.

"I just like everything about the lifestyle I have here. It's very relaxing. I have been to lots of different parts of the city and have also been to other places like Chester and the Lake District which were very nice," the Spaniard said.

"I'm enjoying finding out more about England because the north is different to the south."

Meanwhile, the Spanish international playmaker has revealed some of his "silly" pre-match superstitions, like putting his left foot on first and then stepping onto the pitch with his right foot first.

"They're only silly little things but I always do them."
