Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is after at least one new striker this summer. The Portuguese manager has been linked with a host of centre-forwards, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alvaro Morata and Breel Embolo, since assuming the reins at the Premier League club in May.

United currently only have Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Wayne Rooney as recognised centre-forwards in their senior squad, and are widely assumed to be in the market for another striker. Ibrahimovic, in particular, has been strongly linked with a big-money move to Old Trafford this summer, having left Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season.

However, according to The Times, United are also weighing up a bid for Basel's highly rated forward Embolo, who is currently playing for Switzerland at Euro 2016. The 19-year-old star has emerged as one of the most in-demand young players in Europe over the last 12 months, with energy drink-bankrolled RB Leipzig also rumoured to be interested in his services.

Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic will reportedly undergo a medical with Manchester United once his participation in Euro 2016 is over. According to Sky Sports, Ibrahimovic will soon complete the formalities of the much-discussed deal, signing a one-year contract with the Premier League giants.
