Manchester United midfielder Memphis Depay appears to have rubbished rumours linking him with a summer transfer by posting a United-themed collage on his Instagram account. The 22-year-old Dutchman – who has consistently underperformed this season – has been the centre of much transfer speculation in recent weeks, with reports suggesting the Red Devils were looking to find a buyer for the player.

Speculation over Depay's future reached fever-pitch over the weekend when he deleted all photos of himself wearing United colours from his social media account. However, the tricky winger has now put paid to the transfer rumours by posting a stunning Instagram montage.

The 12-image collage is of his goal celebration from United's 2-1 win against Watford earlier this season, in which Depay opened the scoring. Although he did not caption the image, the United forward has seemingly reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

Depay has recently found himself on the sidelines at Old Trafford, because of his inconsistent performances this season, which have led to rumours about his future. However, he has repeatedly insisted he is determined to work hard and establish himself in United's first-choice team.

The former PSV Eindhoven player previously said: "I'm in a new club right now, it's a different level [to the Eredivisie]. Such things are playing a big role and you're trying to find your way and it was a bit easy at the start but then I fell back and you could see it in the way I played.

"But you can assume that I'm busy with working on that and getting back to the top. I feel fit and I'm trying to show on the training ground that I'm doing my best to perform well. People are used to seeing me score and that shall also come, it just takes a bit longer now but you'll have to find that form again."
