Nike is turning one of the world's biggest manga franchises into a footwear collection, and fans will not have to wait much longer to get their hands on it. The Nike x One Piece collection features three special-edition Air Max Plus designs inspired by the series' Devil Fruits, alongside jerseys, T-shirts, caps and a vest.

With the global launch set for September, here is what fans need to know about the One Piece sneakers' release date, designs and prices.

Nike x One Piece Release Date and Global Launch

The One Piece sneakers release date is set for 25 September 2026, when the collection launches globally through Nike's SNKRS platform. However, fans in selected cities will get opportunities to shop the collection earlier through pop-ups and retail partners.

The worldwide rollout begins with a Tokyo pop-up from 4 to 6 September, followed by selected retail experiences on 12 and 19 September. Sydney is scheduled to receive selected items from 16 to 18 October.

Nike's official launch information also confirms that availability and launch methods will differ by market, with some regions receiving SNKRS pre-orders, standard launches or exclusive access.

One Piece Sneakers Designs Inspired by Devil Fruits

The headline footwear consists of three Nike Air Max Plus SP designs based on the Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi and Mera Mera no Mi. Each Devil Fruit influences the colour and visual identity of its corresponding sneaker, while the Air Max Plus receives completely reworked uppers created specifically for the collaboration.

The official Nike Japan listing identifies the shoes as the Gomu Gomu, Ope Ope and Mera Mera Air Max Plus SP models. Each is listed at ¥27,500 (around $173 or £127) including tax in Japan.

Nike says the concept was inspired by the superhuman abilities associated with Devil Fruits and the feeling athletes experience when putting on Nike footwear. Nick Remlinger, Nike's GM of Energy Gaming, said the team wanted to re-imagine the Air Max Plus in a way that fans had not seen before.

Nike One Piece Collection Includes More Than Sneakers

The collaboration extends beyond the One Piece Nike shoes. The collection includes Air Max Plus jerseys and caps, while T-shirts feature manga artwork and a design inspired by the Jolly Roger associated with protagonist Monkey D. Luffy. A vest also draws on the effects of the Devil Fruits within the series.

Caps are priced at ¥5,280 ($33 or £24), while the Devil Fruit-inspired vest is listed at ¥45,100 ($283 or £208), all including Japanese consumption tax.
