Search and rescue teams continue to hunt for missing 11-year-old Cameron Comey Dyfed-Powys Police

The 11-year-old boy who went missing after falling into the River Towy in south-west Wales has been named as Cameron Comey.

He was last seen playing near the river in Tanerdy, Carmarthen, with his younger brother on Tuesday afternoon (17 February).

His brother, nine, raised the alarm after reportedly seeing his sibling get swept away.

Emergency services are continuing their search for the third day and are joined by specialist divers from South Wales Police.

Inspector Eric Evans said: "We have approximately 50 personnel from all services systematically searching the river from the point of where we believe the 11-year-old has gone in downstream.

"We are being guided by coastguard in relation to the flow of river and tidal water as to how far the boy could have travelled."

The police helicopter will continue to assist in identifying possible search areas.
