Where to Watch Live

The match starts at 12.30am BST (on Saturday). Live coverage of the match is available on Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 1 HD. Live scores and real-time internet updates are available on the US Open's official website.

Overview

Roger Federer is set to take on compatriot Stan Wawrinka in the semi-finals of the US Open for the first time in their careers, but the duo are not strangers to each other's game, having played each other on 19 occasions in the past. The most recent Grand Slam clash came at the 2015 French Open, when the second ranked Swiss was beaten by Wawrinka, who eventually won the tournament.

The duo also play together on the Switzerland Davis Cup team, and therefore are very aware of each other's strengths and weaknesses ahead of their clash. They were at loggerheads earlier in the season, after Wawrinka accused Federer's wife of distracting him during a match, but with the air cleared between the two, it could be a pulsating clash with some top quality tennis on show.

Federer looks the stronger of the two having not dropped a set yet, but Wawrinka has showed that he too is in imperious form after he dispatched Murray's conqueror Kevin Anderson with ease in straight sets. The winner of the match between the two Swiss stars will face either Djokovic or defending champion Marin Cilic for the title on Sunday.

US Open History
