Reigning Six Nations champions Ireland take on Wales at the Aviva Stadium in the first round of fixtures of this year's championships.

Ireland will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing quarter-final exit to Argentina at last year's Rugby World Cup by becoming the first nation to win the Six Nations three years in a row.

But Joe Schmidt's side will be up against an experienced resilient Wales team that put in some impressive performances at the World Cup, despite being severely depleted by injuries. Warren Gatland's men eventually succumbed to a narrow defeat 23-19 to South Africa in the quarter-finals, but their strength and size mean that they are tipped to go on and win their first Championship since 2013.

In this video, IBTimes UK sports editor Nick Howson previews the match and gives his predictions on who will emerge victorious.

Ireland vs Wales kicks off at 3pm GMT on 6 February. Live coverage is available on ITV and BBC Radio 5 Live.
