The club are also said to be monitoring the situation of Chelsea striker Fernando Torres with Alexandre Pato rumoured to be heading to Stamford Bridge in a swap deal. In other news, Kevin Prince Boateng has told the clubs fans to come out and support the club if they are to be successful this season.

Kevin Prince Boateng has accused the AC Milan fans of damaging the clubs moral by staying away from their matches. Boateng has stressed that the AC Milan fans play a vital role in inspiring the players and playing to half empty stadiums will only give the opposition the advantage.

The Ghana star remarked: "In all honesty, I thought it would be full. We're champions of Italy, it was Friday night and the game was interesting. I was quite surprised, as the fans are the most important component in football. If I'm tired, then I keep pushing for them," the Ghanaian international said.

AC Milan are said to be in pole position to sign Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window.

The San Siro outfit is said to be ready to do battle with Liverpool for the Danish international and will look to test Ajax's resolve to keep the player this January. The Danish international has been linked with a number of moves this summer but remained in Holland but is expected to leave the club sometime in the next twelve months.

The Italian champions are said to be believe that a £15m bid for the player will be enough to land the talented player, particularly when you take into consideration Liverpool's summer transfer window spending. However Damien Comolli is believed to be an admirer of the teenager, and the Liverpool director of football works alongside Kenny Dalglish in searching for transfer targets at Anfield.

AC Milan has been rumoured to be lining up a January bid for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

The football website Tribal Football has claimed that new Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is beginning to lose patience with the Spanish striker and will continue to leave Torres on the bench. Fernando Torres has been searching for his best form since his January switch to Chelsea but has still only managed one goal for the club and with the emergence of Daniel Sturridge.

"We have four wonderful strikers and all compete for the position. All offer different things because they are different talents. The choice fell to Anelka. It's nothing special, Fernando has been doing magnificently well in the last three games," Villas-Boas said.

The website claims that 'local sources' say that a deal to sign Fernando Torres could involve Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato moving to Stamford Bridge. The website does clarify that no 'formal contact' has been made but does claim that Milan chief Adriano Galliani is said to be monitoring the situation closely.
