Unverified Social Media Post Proposes Organising a Paid GTA 6 Content Creator Programme for Gamers
Viral post claims gamers can earn by creating content for GTA 6, but authenticity remains unverified

A viral but unverified post on X claims gamers could earn up to $3,000 (£2,200) a month by playing and recording content for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of and following its release.
The proposal was shared by X user @facelesspeak, who goes by 'Peak,' and describes plans to assemble a private team of players to create content around Rockstar Games' highly anticipated title. According to the post, selected participants would reportedly be paid between $2,000 (£1,400) and $3,000 (£2,200) per month.
The proposal is not an official Rockstar Games or Take‑Two Interactive recruitment program. IBTimes UK could not independently verify the proposed employment arrangement, its funding or its terms.
For context, Grand Theft Auto VI is officially scheduled to launch on Nov. 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar Games confirmed the release date on its official website, while Take‑Two Interactive also listed the same launch date in its June announcement about the game's pre‑orders.
Rockstar and Netflix also unveiled Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Aug. 27. Netflix said the extended presentation was captured entirely from in‑game footage on PlayStation 5.
What the Unverified GTA 6 Content Creator Proposal Says
The post from @facelesspeak outlines plans to create a team focused on producing Grand Theft Auto VI content once the game becomes available. According to the proposal, selected candidates would spend their working hours playing Grand Theft Auto VI and recording material for a broader content operation.
Genuine question... Let's say I pay you a salary of $2,000-3,000 per month for you to sit and play GTA 6 all day without owning a single % of what you record, would you be up to it?

I'm looking to create a GTA content creators farm in November, but there will be a strict casting…
The post also says applicants must be at least 18 years old and speak American English. It reportedly calls for a 'strict casting' process and paperwork to be completed by selected candidates.
Another condition described in the post concerns ownership of the material produced. According to the proposal, participants would not retain ownership of the footage they create.
The recruitment process is reportedly expected to begin around mid‑October, roughly a month before Grand Theft Auto VI's scheduled Nov. 19 release.
The proposal has drawn attention from gamers and content creators on X, with some users discussing the prospect of being paid to produce content around one of the year's most anticipated game releases.
Why the GTA 6 Content Creator Offer Is Not a Rockstar Games Job
The proposal should not be confused with an official position at Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take‑Two Interactive. It comes from an individual X account rather than an official Rockstar or Take‑Two recruitment channel.
Rockstar does maintain an official careers program with openings across its studios and departments. The company also warns prospective applicants about fraudulent career offers and says legitimate recruitment opportunities are available through its official careers channels.
Quick clarification: you are free to livestream An Extended Look from 3 p.m. ET on August 27 providing you adhere to platform-specific guidance and you do not simply restream or repost the unedited video in full without context or commentary. https://t.co/lgXjSFLEDr

Rockstar's legitimate development and testing roles are also distinct from the proposal described by @facelesspeak. Official Rockstar positions involve work within the company's development, technology, security, customer experience and other teams rather than an independently operated content‑production arrangement.
Rockstar has significantly expanded the team working on Grand Theft Auto VI. A recent Dazed deep dive reported that the team has more than doubled in size since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2. The report also said more than 50 real street artists were brought in to design murals, while the vehicle‑handling team includes race‑car drivers.
Gamers considering the proposed opportunity should verify who is behind the recruitment, review any agreement carefully and avoid providing personal or financial information until the legitimacy of the arrangement has been established.
At present, the $2,000‑to‑$3,000 monthly offer should be treated as an unverified private proposal, not as an official Rockstar Games job or GTA VI creator program.
